    Business founded in Osaka.
  • 1951January
    Reorganized as a corporation, and located Head Office in Nishi-ku, Osaka.
  • 1960December
    Constructed Mihara Works in Mihara-cho (currently Sakai City), Osaka.
  • 1962December
    Joined the Japanese Marine Equipment Association.
  • 1969June
    A 5-story, reinforced concrete Head Office building completed in Osaka.
  • 1971February
    Received excellent company commendation from the Osaka Nisni Tax Office.Naniwa pumps adopted by the Maritime Safety Agency.
  • October
    Began supplying various types of pumps in packages for large tankers, VLCC.
  • 1972March
    Obtained supplier's qualification registration by the Defense Agency Procurement.
  • September
    Improved service system by establishing service networks including spare parts stock in Rotterdam and Singapore.
  • 1974March
    New factory completed (Fukui Works) in Fukui.
  • December
    Reached technical cooperation agreement with Kvaerner-Eureka A.S. of Norway.
  • 1975February
    Established Naniwa-Eureka Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Kvaerner- Eureka A.S., in Osaka.
  • 1976June
    Super-large pump performance testing facilities completed at Fukui Works.
  • December
    Second phase of Fukui Works expansion completed.
  • 1977April
    Reached technical and sales cooperation agreement with Allweiler AG of Germany (for screw pumps). Established Tokyo Sales Office.
  • 1978August
    Third phase of Fukui Works expansion work completed. Oil performance testing facilities completed.
  • 1983February
    Introduced large computer system for on-line services among the 3 operating units - Head Office and factories.
  • May
    Head Office building expansion completed. Naniwa Pump's equipment was selected and installed on the large sailing vessel, Nihonmaru.
  • June
    Introduced automated parts control warehouse system at Fukui Works.
  • 1984March
    Expanded Production facilities at Fukui Works. Introduced FMS production system.
  • 1985September
    Three story ferroconcrete general business office building at Fukui Works completed.
  • November
    Approved as a certified "JG" manufacturing unit under the Ships Safety Act by the Ministry of Transport.
  • 1989March
    Naniwa Pump supplied pumps for Japan's first large luxury liner, the Chrystal Harmony (later renamed the Asuka II).
  • August
    The fourth phase of Fukui Works expansion completed.
  • November
    Introduced 2-dimensional CAD.
  • 1990May
    Approved as a certified manufacturing unit by DNV of Norway, for the first time as a pump manufacturer of Japan.
  • 1992August
    Approved as a certified manufacturing unit by NK for the first time as a pump manufacturer.
  • 1993March
    Expanded production facilities at Fukui Works.
  • 1994October
    The Tokyo Sales Office was moved to Nihonbashikayaba-cho in Chuo Ward.
  • 1997December
    Obtained international standard of quality assurance ISO9001 for all operating units.
  • 1998March
    Second plant completed at Fukui Works.
  • May
    Obtained a patent for "waste oil recovery system in oil tank".
  • 1999April
    Constructed an information network (internal LAN, E-mail and transmission of technical data) for use at all operating units.
  • August
    Capital was increased to approximately 100 million yen. Celebrated 50th Anniversary of incorporation.
  • December
    Supplied a large oil recovery screw pump to the big dredge and oil recovery ship Kaishomaru.
  • 2000June
    Approved as a certified manufacturing unit by BV of France.
  • July
    Concluded an exclusive representation agreement with Hermetic-Pumpen GmbH in Germany. Entered the canned pump market.
  • December
    Approved as a certified manufacturing unit by LRS. Automated rack warehouse completed at Fukui Works.
  • 2001April
    Concluded a technical tie-up agreement regarding steam turbines with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.
  • December
    Obtained type approval of ABS.
  • 2002July
    Steam turbine plant (third plant) completed at Fukui Works.
  • November
    Introduced 3-dimensional CAD.
  • 2003March
    Acquired the Samsung-Q SILVER Mark certificate from Samsung Heavy Industries.
  • 2005January
    Implemented productivity improvement project "Production Revolution NP-130."
  • November
    Large Main Engine L.O. Pump plant (fourth plant) completed at Fukui Works.
  • 2007October
    Expanded the production facilities at Fukui Works, installing an automatic machine center with five-face machining equipment (third machine)
  • November
    Developed the world largest propulsion engine lubricating oil pump, the "New TOM Series.
  • 2008March
    Acquired the Samsung-Q GOLD Mark certificate from Samsung Heavy Industries.
  • August
    Introduced the latest type FMS machine,making continuous 3 day and nightoperation possible.
  • September
    Expansion of Fukui Works completed. Fukui Works Supply Center completed.
  • October
    Opened Naniwa Shanghai Rep.office.
  • December
    Introduced an automatic measuring testing facility for centrifugal pumps.
  • 2010January
    Improve efficiency of main machine lubricating oil pump TOM type by 5%.
  • February
    Launched a new integrated production control system, "NIPS2010". (NIPS=Naniwa Integrated Production Control System)
  • 2011January
    60th anniversary of the company's establishment.
  • April
    Completed the transfer of the previous production control system to NIPS2010.
  • May
    Certified as an approved factory by the Korean Register of Shipping (KR).
  • August
    Implemented personnel-system reform.
  • September
    Established the Production Reform Committee to further improve productivity.

    Celebrated 60th Anniversary of incorporation

    Implemented new product development project "NEO (Naniwa Ecological Operation) Project" under the theme of enviroment project and energy saving.

    Introduced full automation test facility for 1st Fatory.

    Start investigative study for pumps made of FRP under subsidized program of Japan Foundation.

    Released Inverter Control System for Main CSW Pump as 1st product under NEO Project

    JUMP NANIWA 2020 were revealed
  • 2015April
    Kick off technology development of pumps made of FRP. Launched newly developed water circulation pumps for SOx/NOx Scrubber System as 2nd product under NEO Project.

    Released newly developed rotary gear pumps for low shulper oil and under suction centrifugal pumps as 3rd and 4th products under NEO Project at Bariship 2015 Exehibition.
  • 2017May
    Released pump made of FRP at Bariship 2017 Exehibition.
  • 2019March
    Expansion of Fukui Works has been completed.
    Introduced full automation test facility for oil pumps in Third plant.

    Kick off technology development of Innovative marine pump diagnostic system.
